Q:Who is eligible for the service?
A:Any Hong Kong permanent residents aged 18 and above. For those below 18, we refer them to existing charity providing such services.
Q:Who can make referral?
A: We welcome referrals from social workers, churches, as well as medical doctors and nursing professionals at hospices and elderly homes. All referrals must be certified as having life threatening conditions by a medical doctor licensed to practice in Hong Kong.
Q:How many times can they enjoy the service?
A:Each eligible person can enjoy the service once only. If necessary, the Foundation can work with other social welfare agencies.
Q:My neighbour is a single elderly person living alone. How can I help?
A:Elderly persons living alone can receive priority service. Applications must be supported by a medical doctor who is licensed to practice in Hong Kong.
Q:Can Non-Hong Kong permanent residents apply?
A: No. In our first stage of service, we only serve permanent residents.
Q:Will applicants and their relatives’ data be used for publicity?
A: No. We will obtain a written consent beforehand if a third-party wants to use the data, pictures or video footage for publicity.
